Connect Hermes
Use your Straitly key in Hermes Desktop and in the terminal (hermes). One paste sets up both, and the models you pick show up in Hermes’s model menu.

Keep copied keys and setup commands private.
Before you start
Create a key on the Straitly API keys page, or press the copy-command button in step 3 to reuse a key saved in this browser or create one named hermes. If you are signed out, it asks you to log in first. You need Hermes installed.
Setup
1. Pick your models
These are the models you will see in Hermes. The first one is picked when it opens.
Price per million tokens, input / output. Only models that can run Hermes are listed.
2. Open Terminal
Press ⌘ Space, type Terminal and press Enter.
3. Paste the command
Copy it, paste it into Terminal and press Enter. You should see Done - Hermes now uses Straitly.
It adds Straitly to ~/.hermes/config.yaml and keeps everything else in it, comments included. Your key goes in ~/.hermes/.env, where Hermes keeps its keys, not in that file.
4. Restart Hermes
Quit Hermes Desktop with ⌘ Q and open it again. In the terminal, type hermes and press Enter. Your first model is already picked. If Hermes answers you in Telegram, Slack or another chat app, also run hermes gateway restart.
5. Pick a model
Click the model name at the bottom right of the message box. Your models are in the Straitly group. In the terminal, type /model instead.
6. Send a message
Say anything. If Hermes answers, you are done.
Change your models later
Pick again in step 1 and paste the new command. It replaces the list. Restart Hermes afterwards. Every id is on the models page.
Verify your connection
Restart Hermes, select a model in the Straitly group, and send a short message. For a connected chat app, restart the Hermes gateway too.
Open request activity to check the model, status, and charge for your test request.
Setup checks
Telegram or another chat app still uses old settings
Run hermes gateway restart after setup. Restarting Hermes Desktop does not replace this step for a chat gateway.
The script cannot find Hermes' Python
Run hermes doctor and resolve the reported installation problem, then paste the setup command again.
If the request is rejected, check your balance and key limits in Errors & limits.
Undo
This takes Straitly out of Hermes and leaves the rest of your settings as they are:

The first paste also saved a copy of your settings in ~/.hermes/config.yaml.before-straitly. If Straitly was your only provider, run hermes model afterwards to pick another.
